Dear Editor,

Although modesty prevents me from flouting my talents, my family and friends all agree that I have a flare for writing. As a child, I devoured library books at brake neck speed and even started my own collection of favourites.

So when the careers councilor asked me about my principle interests, I told him of my book horde and my love of the written word. Apparently this infers that I would make a good librarian, or perhaps even a writer. I am now looking for a job in a library, and looking foreword to one day seeing my own name in print.

If you decide to print this, I shall take it that it augers well for my chosen career.
