Welcome to the pre-launch edition of Patchword.
As you've probably seen from our home page, there's a whole host of goodies here for all writers, however experienced, as well as some less specifically writing-based stuff which I hope will still be interesting.
I hope to make this 'letter from the editor' a monthly date, where I can share a few thoughts and let you know what's new on the site. Patchword is an ambitious project, and I'm a bit overwhelmed at the enormity of the undertaking, but look forward to receiving your mails and comments about how the site looks 'from the outside'.
Our official first edition is due out in September, so don't worry if the pages look a bit empty at the moment - I'm going to be busy over the summer getting them filled. In the meantime, if there's anything you think I should know, please get in touch.
We obviously hope to expand our poetry and articles sections, so if you've got work you'd like us to consider, do send it to us. (Plain text - no attached files, please - see our guidelines page.)
