To help you recharge batteries you'll find there's a timeout section as well as a monthly selection of quotes which we hope will be inspirational, thought provoking or just plain fun.

In the poetry anthology we have some old favourites as well as a growing collection of contemporary poems. We've a couple of animated poems, too, and more will be added later.

 You've found your way to Patchword - the on-line writers' resource centre. We've been here since summer 2000 and already have lots of ideas to help you with your writing, whether you've got a shelf of published works to your name, or you're new to the business.

We are interested in all types of writing, although here on the site we focus on articles, poetry and book reviews.
